My Mania

It has been rained all the time last few weeks. I was wondering how can I kill the time at home. I finally picked up my embroidery threads and started cross stitch samplers. I love designing cross stitch patterns on graph papers. By filling crosses on them, I got the overall proportions of the patterns. Once get started embroidering, I just cannot stop. Sometimes work until very late.....But still think they give me lots of fun :) Another recent mania for me is origami shirt. This is something related to my work. Online orders returns forms produced for the Couverture and the Garbstore, which are folded as shirts. We hope our customers are not going to return the orders after seeing this lovely origami shirts!

The Three Classic Elements 潮流三寶

When I developed the latest shop window for Couverture and the Garbstore, I thought about a bird inspired shop window. I started origami research and created some origami birds showcasing with the products. Looking at origami garments, I got inspired to make some spare button cases out of them. Origami shirt is very simple and easy to make. It actually can hold buttons very well like an envelope. I used tracing paper to fold it. But felt the shirt was a bit plain and dull. Suddenly, the 3 classic elements for shirts flashed through my mind. They are stripes, polka dots and checks. Therefore, I designed black and white prints for these shirts. In fact, I think girls must have these patterns in their wardrobes, because they are so lovely and never out-of-date.

Anthropologie displays

I love Anthropologie not only their clothing. When I visit the store on Regent Street every time, I feel like I was in an exhibition venue. All the displays are so well-thought and lovely. This time, the rope knotting display was really catching my eyes. Mixing different strings and ropes with many knotting techniques. I wonder how long it took for it.

My New Travel Card Holder

I have been tired with my old travel card holder for ages. Recently, I just came up with some new ideas on crossstitch patterns, so I decided to make my own travel card holder with embroidering the Transport for London logo on it. I love the logo as it is simple and easy to be recognized. I used chambray and striped fabric as contrasts to the shell natural linen fabric. I also designed a small label for this accessory.
